The story behind the petals .
For more than twenty years we've built websites for florists, and watched the same story play out. A shop signs up to Shopify, Squarespace or one of the big ecom platforms — because that's what everyone says you should use. Six months in, they're patching florist-shaped problems with retail-shaped software, and the cracks start to show.
Those platforms were built for parcel retail — pick a SKU, print a shipping label, post a box. Florists don't work that way.
So you bolt on plugins. One for delivery zones, one for subscriptions, one for the custom-order inbox — each another monthly fee, each almost but not quite right.
